Hermmmm

Sometimes I just have some very mixed feelings about things.  Some, very mixed feelings.  Take for example this Wagovan that was at a local meet here.  We all know I love a well done Wagovan and just Wagovans in general, but this one makes me feel a little, well you take a look.

It has potential, tons of potential, but it is just full of poor execution and, what I feel is, trying-too-hard-syndrome.  I cannot deny the beauty of a well stanced ride, especially a Wagovan, but I can deny the overall lack of execution on this one.

I like the height.  I like the wheels.  I like the fitment, but it is just wrapped together all wrong.  Not to mention that the trends that I had hoped thought had died off are alive and well on this ride: primer as paint, rusted hood, unused roof rack (that bike never left the rack), etc.

The fenders, seriously?

I really hope this is just construction stages and the owner is going to clean things up.  This Wagovan has a shit ton of potential, but the execution needs to be there and on point.  Love what I said or hate it, I said it.  I want to like it, but it won’t let me.

If you’re going to do it, do it right.  But that’s just me…

Thoughts?

If you want to see the other pics from the meet, peep the Flickr.

Going on a jet plane

Okay ladies and germaphobes, your’s truly will be going on a little trip next week.  I am going to New Orleans, LA for the week and will probably not have access to a computer or very limited access.  Now now don’t be afraid, I shall return in all my glory.  Do not fear.  I have a few posts done and scheduled for that week still so you’ll still get awesome stuff even if I am not here.

I leave you with this super stellar photo of a Wagovan driving off into the sunset or, in this case, the street.

1 and 3/4 worth of Wagovan

I love it when people use their ingenuity to create things such as this.

I’ve seen this done with Jeeps, VW buses, even a 240.  It’s pretty damn awesome if you ask me.

Bisi Wagovan

I come forth with different coverage!  See, I told you I was going to change things up today.  Doubted me?  Well I’ll stab you later because I have places to go and toothpaste to buy.  I bring for you some more shots of Bisimoto’s super seksi Wagovan.  It took me a really long time to find more shots for some reason.  This little ride is like the Black Pearl.  Or it could be because I suck at life.  I’ll g with the latter.

Anyways…

I’ve been off and on following this build through Super Street and I have to say I like where this is going.

It’s so awesome in its simplicity yet you just have a feeling that it might eat your children, slowly.

Dat Ass!!

Fully worked D16Z6 just sitting there and making me want to eat apples.  Apples you say?  Yes, apples.  I know their quest was to hit 700hp but I am not sure if they did already.  Anyone know?

I’d totally punch a baby seal for those wheels.

Periodical Corner

Well, I’ve seen this done a few times and have been wanting to do it but haven’t found anything I saw as useful until now.  I have been wanting to highlight a magazine article or entire magazine that fit OMGP criteria content.  The latest issue of SuperStreet had sufficient content so I have decided to post it.

The February 2010 issue of SS features the Bergenholtz Racing RX-8 on the cover.  This car was piloted by JTP to a 9th place finish in the 2009 season of FD.  Unfortunately, it looks like they have parted ways.  Sucks, but I hope JTP lands on his feet and the Bergenholtz Brothers find another great driver.   Onwards…

First thing I saw that I LOVED was this Legacy Wagon.  OMG this thing is freakin’ sexy.  It is super clean and super classy yet makes my jaw drop.  Rolling on a uber sexy Blitz Z1 Technospeed wheels just adds a whole lotta sexy.

It’s boosted, badass, and beautiful.  What more can a person ask for?

Next we have Bisimoto’s extra sexy Wagovan.  I really love this Wagovan.  It is probably the sexiest one I have seen, ever.  The colour combined with the wheels just adds so much to this little Wagovan.  Not to mention, it’s boosted!

In case you were wondering, Bisi is trying to hit 700hp on pump gas, according to the article.  This article focused mainly on the suspension and the paint more than anything.  it is quite a good read if you really like the Wagovan.

Holy testicles, I want those wheels.

Lastly…

…we have a ’73 Mazda RX-3.  Not just any RX-3, quite possibly the sexiest one I have ever seen.  And this RX-3 is running a very similar colour scheme to me!  I bet you people drool over this, but ever since I started this colour scheme four years ago, I get more hate than anything.  I guess it all depends on how special the hater feels.  I definitely admit my box is not to this caliber, but it’s the colour that I get the most negative comments on, whatever.

The show a couple pictures of how the custom fenders were formed.  Really shows what a person can do.  I just cannot get over this one though, it’s so damn sexy.

Pick up this issue of SS.  I thoroughly enjoyed it.

If you guys enjoy this, I can do it more when I find more material.

Sittin’ Pretty

Loving the style and presence of this Wagovan.  It’s simple and I really dig it.  Never been a fan of the tilt hood though.  But I can live with it because the rest is damn good.

Wagovan takes flight!

Saw this on Autoblog and it is full of win.

I can honestly say I have never seen a Wagovan take flight before.  It’s pretty crazy.
